Collin O'Brien

Boston, Massachusetts, United States

I am a 22 year-old who was an Associate Northeast Area Scout for the Seattle Mariners and Baltimore Orioles for the past two summers, covering the Cape Cod Baseball League, NECBL, and East Coast Pro Workouts. I am also a Sport Management Major in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Working in the MLB has been a life long dream and I have dedicated myself to make my dream become reality. I have a passion for this game like very few others have, paired with a relentless work ethic, and a drive to consistently improve that would prove beneficial for any organization. My ultimate goal is to become a part of the Front Office as a Director of Baseball Operations or Director of Amateur/Pro Scouting for a Major League Baseball Club. I have sacrificed so much in the pursuit of my dream and I will continue to sacrifice because as one of the greats of the game once said, "There is no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do".

Seeking an entry-level position in Baseball Operations with a Major League Baseball Club, were I will have the opportunity to learn from experienced personnel as well as contribute through my desire to help a franchise reach its goals by working long hours to ensure decision makers have the information to make informed decisions.
