Emily Collins
Albany, NY
Helo, I'm Emily! I'm a certified welder who is passionate about gardening, fabricating inventive new work from salvaged metal pieces, and my sweet dog butch.
Right now— I fabricate furniture, light fixtures, jewelry, and the like in a tiny shop in my dining room.
Before that, I ran the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store and found new homes for over 200 tons of gently-used furnishings in historic Albany and Troy, NY.
In the past, I've co-created neighborhood art programs, walked over 500 miles across spain, and learned how to open a bottle of wine with a cowboy boot in Austin.
