My name is Jenna Collins and I am one half of The Painter's Daughter, Ottawa's all-female painting team.

I first began painting in 2010 for my father's painting company, Collins Painting. My younger sister Elizabeth had already been painting with him for 2 years at the time. Once I joined the team, it truly became a family affair. We always had fun working together and grew immensely close.

In 2011, I decided to take Business Management and Entrepreneurship at Algonquin College, with hopes of helping my father retire to a beach somewhere hot. While in school I took up part-time work at the Home Depot, in order to pair my industry know-how with necessary product knowledge. The plethora of learning that I earned there was immeasurable.

Upon graduating, with a business plan for The Painter's Daughter in hand, I became fully self-employed. With Elizabeth by my side, we began to build a reputation in this city that we are truly proud of; a reputation similar to that which my father had earned for himself over the past 30 years in business.

I feel absolutely blessed to be able to do what I do every day and to be able to share this experience with my younger sister. We strongly believe that what we bring to the industry is special and we are looking forward to continuing to grow and share our gift with you.
