I am a film maker and sound designer looking to explore new projects and see what I can create with amazing people. Throughout my life several times I have been given the nickname "Professor" for my knowledge on many subjects. I am constantly learning and sharing new things with the people I meet and work with. Let me start by teaching you a little something about myself.

I have always loved sound and music but what drew me to sound was that it brought films to life . The movie was just not as interesting or emotionally appealing until the sound was added. I realized this early on in my experiments with film making. For my first movie I knew sound was an important aspect and needed my attention. Every movie I made following that I always looked forward to doing the audio. I spent quite a bit of time learning about audio for my movies and loved sharing that information with my friends and film makers I met. This drove me to create thefilmsoundeffect.com, a website dedicated to improving audio for zero or micro budget films. During the process of researching and learning more about sound for the site I realized sound design was my calling. I found that it made me a much better film maker as well, learning how important story was for film making from all aspects including good audio design.

After realizing this passion I went back to school to obtain a degree in music and sound design from my home town of Sacramento. While I was going to school I considered what projects I might work on and the career path I might take. I loved movies and games but I wasn't quite sure which would be a better fit for me. While researching how sound for games worked I came across a tutorial for FMOD from Stephan Schutze on creating explosions for a game. In that video I saw how creative and forward thinking you had to be and the possibilities of interactive sound. At that very moment I realized game sound was where I wanted to be, the creative constraints, forward thinking, dynamic audio, and emotional cues were amazing.

I have since focused myself to the study of game sound design taking on several projects in the local community. I have learned so much from the projects and I look forward to the future of interactive audio.
