Johathan Colvin: I am committed to my country's health care system being one of the best in the world. I have worked towards that goal by working for both the federal government and in the private sector. Despite the controversies surrounding Obamacare, the U.S. is still a world leader in providiing long-term care services. The new health care law requires health insurance companies — to stop canceling coverage whenever a policyholder gets sick. Health insurers have now vowed that they will stop wrongfully canceling patients. An investigative report by Reuters disclosed that the nation’s largest insurer, WellPoint, was targeting women who were recently diagnosed with breast cancer for cancelation of their health insurance- leading to some of those necessary and most urgent reforms. The hope is that the publicity will end such health insurance abuses.
