Tim Logan

Writer and comedian in Melbourne, Australia

A writer and comedian, Tim Logan got his start by being invited into Screen Tasmania’s 2002 and 2004 Cut & Polish screenwriting programmes. In 2005 he was a TripleJ Raw Comedy National finalist and started performing stand up and improvised comedy around his home state of Tasmania. He soon began collaborating with a number of local filmmakers on independent projects and during an intensive filmmaking course a few years later, Tim, Shaun and Nathan joined forces and became Sky Machine.

Tim has proudly hosted the annual Mystate Financial Student Film Festival since 2010, held at Hobart's historic Theatre Royal and in 2013 was invited, from a field of over 1000 performers, to compete in the 38th annual San Francisco Comedy Competition.

As well as having now performed comedy around Australia, California and Stockholm, Tim has written all nine episodes of Sky Machine’s Noirhouse, as seen on ABC Iview, several internationally screened shorts and some award winning commercial work. Recently Tim was one of only nine writers from around Australia chosen by Every Cloud Productions, (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), to take part in a development workshop with Bryan Elsley (Skins) and in 2016 collaborated with the creators and writers of ABC’s new comedy Rosehaven.

Tim recently opened for Doug Stanhope on the first date of his Australian tour and hosts The Clubhouse, Hobart's premiere monthly comedy show.
