In CBS, when we discuss Aged Care Services, we mean anyone who is Aged 65 years and over, or 50 years and over for people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who want support to help them to stay living independently at home. Community Based Support (CBS) is an independent, non-profit community organisation, mainly funded by the Commonwealth and Tasmanian governments. CRCCs help carers with options to take a Break through short-term and emergency respite services, based on assessed need, and provide advice on and coordinate access to respite services in the community area.
