Hey there, I’m Rodrigo. I’m an video editor living in Ilhéus, Brazil.

I work remotely doing edition, transcription and translation for video interviews and documentary. I speak Portuguese, English and French.

In my work the speech is the center of the attention, and my job it is to get the essence of what the speaker wants to communicate. So when I do video I try to respect the whole sense of the discourse, and never changing its truth.

This principle is also applied for the transcription and the translation.

I got this passion and care about the documented speech while working as research assistant, in the University of Art and Design Geneva, with Ingrid Wildi, a swiss contemporary artist who works with video documentaries, and she showed me how important it is to keep the real sense of a speech when we do video edition.

On 2015 and 2016 I worked for the Brazilian news portal AcontecendoAqui.com.br, editing interviews from Cannes Lions, Festival of Creativity. I started writing short news for AcontecendoAqui as well.
