Confidence Lekalakala
Teacher in University of Johannesburg
My name is Confidence Oratilwe Lekalakala, a qualified Science Educator whose passion for education and science began while still in high school. Inspired by a love for learning and a desire to help others succeed, I pursued a Bachelor of Education degree in Senior Phase and FET Teaching at the University of Johannesburg, specializing in Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Natural Science.
My professional journey began at the University of Johannesburg, where I worked as a tutor, supporting students academically while developing strong communication, mentorship, and learner-support skills. After graduating, I served as a Learner Support Agent before joining the Limpopo Department of Education as an educator.
As an educator, I am committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of science. I believe that learning should extend beyond memorizing facts and encourage learners to explore how and why things happen, equipping them with the skills needed to navigate an ever-changing world.
Alongside my teaching career, I offer online tutoring services for Grade 10–12 learners in Physical Sciences and Life Sciences through my tutoring initiative, Ms L's Science Success. My aim is to help learners build confidence, strengthen their understanding of scientific concepts, and achieve academic excellence.
Beyond the classroom, I am passionate about learner development, mentorship, science communication, personal growth, and community impact. Through education and academic support, I strive to inspire lifelong learning and empower the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers.
