Brian Connatser : Software Engineer

As a Sr. Consultant for Universal Mind, Brian brings over 15 years of experience in web, application, and game design and development, systems architecture, and project management to his role. He specializes in a solutions agnostic approach to each project, quickly determining the best stack for the task at hand. Recently working with ObjC, HTML5, JavaScript, Sass, Haml, Ruby, Python, and NodeJS, he likes to stay on the cutting edge of new technology practices.

Previously, he was a Senior Software Developer for Litl, creating native iOS and Adobe Flash based games and applications. Before Litl he was a Senior Application Analyst for King Pharmaceuticals, leveraging Adobe Flex, MS-SQL, Oracle, and JBoss to support sales, and Federal state reporting to the FDA. With a background beginning in 3D modeling and design, Brian holds a B.S. in Design and Development, and an M.S. in Digital Video and Project Management from East Tennessee State University.

Brian founded and co-manages the Blue Ridge Adobe Users group and frequently speaks at industry conferences, specializing in development work flows with build processes and source control.

He spends much of his spare time with his wife of over 15 years and their two sons. As an avid fly fisherman, he gets as much quality (quiet) time on the river as he can. He is also a seasoned homebrewer and is currently brewing some of the best malted liquids in Northeast Tennessee.
