I think about how to create a world that is more joyful, more fair, and where more people can live up to their full potential, in community.

One way is to inspire more wonder and awe. An appreciation for science, for the natural world, and (some of the) feats in engineering and technology, does that. It makes me smile. It makes people look at the world differently. Forces them out of themselves, towards a new perspective.

I'm deeply committed to a world where the barriers that girls and women, and people of color, have faced over time are broken down.

Creating learning spaces where science and people come alive, in greater Boston, in Ghana and beyond, is one avenue that I have chosen to do my work. It's subversive. It's geeky. It's fun. It connects me with amazing people, young and old.
