Connie Arnold, M.S.

I am passionate about School Counseling. As part of a comprehensive school counseling program to ensure the success of all students, I provide a variety of services and activities, including individual and group counseling, classroom school counseling curriculum, individual student planning, parent and teacher consultation, referral assistance to other agencies in the community and student assessment. A major portion of my day is direct assistance to students and consists of responsive services to help students with academic, career and personal/social development.

I received my M.S. in School Counseling from Lee University and my school counseling license from the State of Tennessee Department of Education. My background is in counseling theories and techniques, group processes, human development, cultural diversity, trauma, learning theory, measurement and assessment, career development, Section 504, educational and related research, and other areas appropriate to the practice of counseling in a school.

Prior to being a School Counselor, my professional experience has been in program and grant management, education and case management. I managed a federal grant of almost $400K which included implementing a risk avoidance program for adolescents in the school systems in 6 counties, mentoring groups, parent education, a media campaign (billboards, tv, radio and website), and evaluation of the project. I supervised four staff on my education team. I am very efficient, detailed and organized with design, web and social networking capabilities.
