Constance (Connie) Rue Hartke

Connie (Constance) Hartke grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland on a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. Retired after 25 successful years in IT sales and service, she is now a small business owner with her husband Paul, a 30 year Restonian. In addition to managing their real estate school, Connie manages their 2 wheelchair accessible vacation cabins near Gatlinburg, TN. She serves on the boards of the Reston Citizens Association and Rescue Reston and takes special interest in Reston issues involving the environment and low-income seniors. Coincidentally, her late father-in-law, U.S. Senator Vance Hartke (D-Ind) advocated for funding for the Fellowship Square Foundation that provides low-income senior housing in Reston. Connie exemplifies Reston’s motto of Live, Work, Play and Get Involved.
