When I wake up in the morning, I usually ponder two things:

1. Is it too cold for frozen yogurt?

2. What can I do today to make my community more beautiful and beneficial than I inherited it?

I can usually anwer the first question by stepping outside (and the answer is usually no). Answering the second question, however, has become the cornerstone of my life's mission; my personal and professional identity. I am a creative, passionate educator committed to improving outcomes for low-income students and students of color. I love to write, tweet, and self-reflect. I'm a school counselor by training and a communicator in every trade I encounter. I'm always willing to learn something new. Join me for some froyo and let's learn how to change the world together.
