I am an interdisciplinary artist and designer, mainly working with precious metals and clay. I hold a BDES in Material Art and Design at OCAD University. Currently I'm a Visual Art Instructor teaching at various public facilities. You can either find me hibernating in the studio working on my latest project or surveying the outdoors looking for inspiration. I always crave creative challenges, spontaneity and collaboration to inform and impart knowledge to people. I love to search for opportunities to deconstruct and appropriate everyday objects to create new meanings. I believe that's what keeps life interesting. With my combined interest in food, health and wellness and art, a lot of these themes can be found in my sculptural jewellery and functional ceramics. My work often introduces elements of wit, irony, play and juxtaposition which reflects my philosophical beliefs and daily encounters in life. I believe that as creative beings, we have the capacity to harness our creative potential, to think outside of the box, and to continuously exercise our curious eye to see things differently. We just need to know when to start!
