When I was three, I received my first Hot Wheels car. Even at an extremely young age, I was looking out the window of my mom's minivan watching the passing cars and memorizing their names. I started reading automotive magazines in middle school, memorizing engines, performance, and other various statistics. By the time my freshman year started, I was able to name just about any vehicle on the road. I could perform basic repairs, as well as explain any moving part of a vehicle. I scored a 100 on my driver’s license test my sophomore year, and I was ready to drive. My first car was a hand-me-down, a Metallic Blue 2007 Ford Fusion S. Although its powertrain was not the strongest (a 2,3 liter four cylinder engine), it was sprightly and fun to drive. I found an old bottle of Turtle Wax Carnauba Spray Wax and tried to shine up my rough looking Fusion. I was not very impressed, so I went to the local Autozone and went about searching for car care products. The next Christmas, I received my first orbital buffing machine. I started bringing life back into the car. The blue paint started to pop. After a while, I had my girlfriend’s mother ask me if I would do her car. And I started taking care of other people’s vehicles. After a few jobs, I knew I needed to think of a name. And so Diamond Auto Care was born. Now professionally backed, I work at a very high standard, and serve dozens of customers. This summer I received a new car, a beautiful 2011 Dodge Charger. Powerful and unstoppable. Just like my passion. And the journey is just starting.
