I am 20 years old. I am currently attending Moorpark College. I am studying general education and multimedia. My life goal and dream is to make it big in the game industry and I feel 100% certain that I can make that happen.
When it comes to video games it isn't just a game to me, it is an art form. I strive to create content that is as enjoyable to me as it would be to the consumer. This brings me to my philosophy about game design. The three "E's" as I like to call them, is the basis around why I want to be a game designer and why it means so much to me.
1. Experience- My main goal as a game designer is to provide the best possible positive experience to the player. I have this listed as number one because I feel this is the heart of video games.
2. Expression- To create a work of art in any setting, you must be willing to express yourself, not only in the project but to the consumer. When you express yourself great things happen and they only get better.
3. Emotion- Emotion is key in a great game. It forms a connection with the player. I want to create that emotional connection with the players of my game because it adds to the overall experience.
Experience, Expression, and Emotion. I hope by now you see why these three terms are the most relevant to me. To create a work of art you must have all three present, you cannot have one without the other.
These three keep me motivated to better the lives of others through video games, these three keep me excited to see the positive experiences on the players face, these three keep me doing what I love to do.
