My name is Connor Patrick Rose and I was born in Toronto, Canada.

I am about to set forth on a once-in-a-lifetime, history making journey to all 196 countries in 196 days, in order to break the Guinness World Record for the Fastest World Expedition (by over 200 days).

My passion for travel sprouted during my time at the University of British Columbia, where I was the designated planner amongst my friend group for first ever end-of-year trip. After much contemplation, we decided to visit Thailand and by the end of the year I had gone on my first international trip without my family. We spent several weeks exploring the entire country, from the bustling metropolis of Bangkok, to the mountainous Northern town of Chiang Mai. The lasting impact this trip has made on my life is one of the main reasons I continue to travel.

Since then I’ve visited over 50 countries, and I’m itching for more. During a trip to Africa, I saw and experienced things unthinkable to most.The people, the food, everything about the continent was special, and yet, it’s the least travelled despite arguably having the most to offer. This made me think further about all the amazing places that we are missing out on due to preconceived, and usually incorrect, notions about certain countries.

That is one of the main reasons I will set out on my journey across the globe:to shed light on international and national issues around the world and to clarify misinformation and unfair stereotypes about certain countries.
