Conor Begley
As a 2009 graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Conor Begley strove for success in the business world, earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Double Concentration in Marketing and Finance and a Minor in Economics. While at Cal Poly, Conor Begley took the initiative to achieve internships that would provide him with the necessary skills to excel in any career. As a Workers’ Compensation Claims and Liability Intern at Zurich Financial Services, Conor Begley investigated and analyzed claims, learning valuable business skills in a real-world setting, such as working with Microsoft’s Easy Access to create and modify databases. In 2008, Conor Begley served a summer marketing internship at Monahan Pacific, where he gained experience in marketing and advertising, using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create maps and promotional materials. In his final year at Cal Poly, Conor Begley worked with a group of students to create a marketing plan for the non-profit organization West Coast Housing, which supports low-income housing. As the team leader, Conor Begley analyzed research and data to discover target markets and plan promotional strategies. Conor Begley utilizes a number of business and marketing tools, such as Adobe and Microsoft business software, Sawtooth conjoint analysis software, Minitab, and SPSS data mining software. A certified trainer in SalesForce customer relationship management tools, Conor Begley is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha, American Marketing Association, and Financial Management Association.
