Conor Hynes

Hello, I’m Conor. I’m a student living in Dublin, Ireland. I am a fan of fishing, rugby, and entrepreneurship. I’m also interested in reading and workingout.

Career

I am enthusiastic and determine with a keen interest in business management and company logistics. I previously worked a supervisor as in SPAR in 2013 before obtaining a job as a merchandiser for Marketing Made Easy in 2017. Through Marketing Made Easy I gained experience with negotiating with Dunnes Head Office and with Dunnes Managers regarding the marketing and selling of products in the most efficient way possible. I am an expert in strategic planning, performance optimization, creativity encouragement and crisis management. I am an young active, outgoing, hard working and ambitious person with past experience in retail. In 2013 I obtained a part time job in Spar Driminagh on Galtymore Road where I worked both Saturdays and Sundays. I worked as part of a team and became familiar with the working and running of a small business as well as dealing with and meeting customer needs. In 2014 I also took part in two work experience weeks with the D.S.P.C.A and Sea life Aquarium in Bray . My main roles included cleaning and organizing the enclosures and caring for the animals. In 2015 I had part time work in a small Get Fresh fruit and vegetable shop where I had to work by myself carrying out various duties, this has given me confidence and knowledge in working and dealing with customers. Again in 2016 I had a small amount of part time work in another Spar located on the main street in Cellbridge where I further enhanced my knowledge in working in retail. In the summer of 2016 I was employed with barcode recruitment where I completed various courses in essential bar training. I then was a bartender at Electric picnic 2016 in which I worked behind the till, pouring pints and spirits and working at the front of the bar interacting with the customers. By working with barcode recruitment I got both educated and bar experience.

Achievements

Player of the year award twice for my football team as well as merit award.

Won fishing competition in coarse angling.

On the first ever Rugby C team to win the league in Terenure College history.

I hold a full clean driving licence.
