My name is Conrad Solarez Castro, (aka Maka) I was named after my uncle Conrad Solarez, my Mother's brother. I am the baby of a family of 5 siblings. Odd to say baby at 46 years old. My mother loved telling me the story of how I was conceived. She told me I was a surprise, she got drunk one night and on the way home from the bar made a sex stop at my father's house. Yes, they were divorced and she also had a boyfriend at the time (James) who was in prison. When I was born, I took the title of baby from my brother Rudy. Needless to say he was still her favorite. I am blessed to have three beautiful and healthy children. Ah, the miracle of childbirth! My parents did not bestow any kind of parenting skills on me, none that were appropriate to use. My son Tobias is 26 years old now, I remember when they brought him out of the delivery room like it was yesterday. His hair was so black and his eyes wide open I had the biggest smile on my face and tears in my eyes. I still use that memory to bring me out of a depressing slump. Ashley, who is now 18 was the middle child and my girl, she was my excuse to buy Barbie’s! By the time she was 3 years she had over 100 Barbie’s. Last but not least my baby Amaris is 14 years old. This one was all Mama with an attitude from age one. I think she is a future make-up artist to the stars. I am not the best father, but 1000% better than my father. I am currently in a relationship with a big hearted man. So many parts to me besides being a father, I am an artist, female impersonator, and a writer. At 46 years old I am doing well, I have been through some stuff in life, sexual abuse, homelessness, addiction, depression. I am still kicking. #writer #survivor #artist #dragstar
