Conrad McGuire

Conrad McGuire is an Oracle software developer with more than 35 years of experience. Before retiring, he specialized in developing hospital productivity systems. After obtaining a master’s degree in information science from University of Pittsburgh, he joined Shadyside Hospital to develop its data warehouse. Over the course of two decades, Conrad McGuire successfully created an integrated system for hospital staff and patients.

Mr. McGuire gained more software experience in the medical field during his time as a developer and Unix system administrator with the West Penn Allegheny Health System. His IMS productivity system, which he developed in only 18 months, transformed healthcare administration across five hospitals.

Later in his career, Mr. McGuire developed software for Pittsburgh-based companies such as Randstad and Highmark. Since his retirement in 2014, he has been allocating his time to sports and hobbies. He enjoys swimming, running, and biking. Additionally, he joins his wife on trips to historic sites. Mr. McGuire also engages in community service activities, including volunteering at homeless shelters.
