Hi, I’m Phil. I’m an anthropologist and writer at the University of Saskatchewan, School of Environment and Sustainability. My research focuses on telling stories about coastal communities: what unites them, what divides them, and what makes them sustainable or not. My work is located primarily in coastal Alaska and British Columbia.

In my personal life, I am a father and husband, and avid reader of Batman and Nightwing comics.
