Constance Carlsen

I was born in Texas and moved to Long Island when I was child, My love for photography I think came from my father. We used to sit on the back porch and bird watch and take pictures of our surroundings which were beautiful. To make a long story short(because some things are little tough to talk about) My father passed away and I had no idea what exactly happened. It all happened so quickly. One minute he was here and the next he was gone. I did not know how to deal with the lost so I started using substances. I lost my love for photography and everything else and everyone around me. I lost myself! I got myself into trouble and wound up losing custody of my children(3 girls) but I would not let my addiction win. I fought back and I fought back hard. I gained custody of my beautiful children back and I gained my love and respect for photography again. I am self taught as well as my father teaching me a few things, but I am going to school to further my education in photography. I have a love for helping others as well with their struggles with addiction.
