In his role as surgical consultant and designer for Alphatec Spine's line of surgical implants, he has served as principal designer for the Arsenal™ Spinal Fixation System. Dr. Constantine Toumbis also stands out as co-designer of the Novel Cervical Interbody, one of the first polyetheretherketone (PEEK) anterior implant device of its kind to receive approval from the US Food and Drug Administration.

Dr. Constantine Toumbis also stands out as a highly regarded clinician, having earned more than eight Top Doctor honors over the past seven years. He currently serves as a spinal surgeon with the Citrus Spine Institute in Crystal River, Florida, where he has led as chief-elect of the Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center Department of Surgery. Also a surgical staff member at Citrus Memorial Hospital, he stands out as the institution's former chief of staff and vice chief of staff. Dr. Toumbis holds a doctor of medicine from the Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he graduated with distinction in biomedical research.
