Since 1997, Contemporary Family Services, Inc., has provided support to the Washington, D.C., community, particularly at-risk youth and families dealing with mental health issues. Programs include a free-standing mental health clinic, which offers services including individual psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Contemporary Family Services, Inc., also offers supported employment, an evidence-based practice that helps individuals living with mental illness to remain competitive in the workforce.

Through the CFS Supported Employment program, each client is paired with an employment specialist, who helps with the job search and offers job coaching and unlimited retention support. These services are free for Medicaid-eligible participants.

CFS is based in Washington, D.C., with additional offices in Maryland and Louisiana. All locations offer services provided by experienced health care professionals, who believe that all clients can have successful outcomes and live productive, happy lives.
