My first science-fiction novel is Convergent Space. It combines classic sci-fi adventure with modern space opera in one epic story. Once at the heart of galactic politics, the people of Earth have become a hated race. They were blamed for a cataclysmic event that affected thousands of worlds and brought down the benevolent and much loved galactic power called the Guild. The Earth's effort to clear its name has grown into an obsession that has consumed the economy and the affairs of the entire planet for 200 years. At the same time, in the outer fringes of what were the former Guild territories, a terrible force is emerging from the ashes which threatens the entire galaxy. All that stands in its way is the Guild’s successor, the vacuous Renaissance (from which the Earth is excluded), an elitist franchise-based organisation that has none of the Guild’s benign qualities. Rone Tintet is one of Earth’s immense army of space-faring investigators. She has finally stumbled upon a vital piece of evidence that may reveal the solution to Earth’s greatest mystery. However, Rone finds herself caught in the middle of these two momentous events – one from the past, one happening right now – as they intertwine towards one final conclusion.
