Tyler Conybear

Student in Athens, Georgia

My name is Tyler Conybear and I am originally from Lone Tree, Colorado. I spent a lot of my time in high school working while managing school. I started working as a soccer coach when I was a sophomore in high school. My passion for the game and teaching the youth to be better made me love that job endlessly. My coworkers were all super funny and they taught me how to have fun while I was working.

I carried this skill over to my next job at Chipotle Mexican Grill. I worked with a bunch of my friends from high school and absolutely loved it. Even though there were many long nights of throwing wet trash away, I loved the environment that we had there; however, I quit this job and went to work at the local car wash which was famous for paying handsomely. I was unable to bring that fun, happy environment with me because our boss was absolutely no fun. I only lasted around 6 months at this job before going right on back to Chipotle. I learned many new faces and positions on my return, and I loved it just as much. We had a new manager who was definitely more strict but still knew how to be a good boss. I worked there until the end of my time in Colorado.

Upon my arrival in Athens, I knew that I wanted to be a bartender from day 1. I applied to plenty of places that I had heard were fun to work at, and I ended up at Bourbon Street. I had a great time working behind the bar and meeting tons of new people who were all in Greek life like me. My absolute favorite part of it was once again the environment that bourbon Street created. The loud music, the packed upstairs bar, and the awful bathrooms were all just perfect.
