My family came over from the Netherlands when I was a little girl. They immigrated first to Canada and then to Utah. They have worked very hard to have us kids live here. Their hard-work ethic has been an inspiration in my life. They are entrepreneur's, so I have worked for them since I was a teenager in motels, technical collages, etc.

I come from a long line of great cooks, my mom being one of them and I just can't seem to get enough of experimenting on my family (they are so patient with me) and friends. When friends and extended family come over, I have to clarify if the meal is an "experiment". They are so gracious and tell me what they think. Remember I am Dutch, and so I like straight-forward answers. It helps me move forward with my future menu choices. It is a little tricky as I don't eat flour or sugar so I can't try everything I make.
