Ronnell "Chewy" Coombs , 39, is an inventor, author, news correspondent, philanthropist,and consultant. Ronnell "Chewy" Coombs was born and raised in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, N.Y. (one of Brooklyn's roughest neighborhoods). By the age of 12 Chewy began a life of crime. By the age of 16 he was a major heroin supplier. While serving 13 years on a 15 year prison term, Chewy earned his associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Organizational Behavior, and Business management. Chewy also became certified as a business/ financial planner by the Chamber of Commerce.
Chewy formed , The Fever Enterprises LLC - an independent publishing company, along with Emanuel Hilaire. The entity released The Female Baller's Handbook , a business/ financial guide for women of color.Chewy also became the managerial consultant to Rhina Valentin, host of the talkshow OPEN on Bronxnet TV. Chewy also became senior- correspondent at www.newyorktv1.com , an independent contemporary media site with an international audience.Chewy is a consultant and active member of Be a hero to the homeless, an organization that distributes sandwiches to the homeless in New York. Chewy also lectures troubled youth as a member of E.L.I.T.E group youth services.
