Eric Cooper
Loveland, Colorado
I was born in Loveland, Colorado on April 20th 1985, and have been a Northern Colorado resident ever since. I have one brother who is 3 years my senior that has been a huge mentor in my life. My mother became a single parent after my father took his own life when I was 3 years of age. Being such a young age, it had little-to-no effect on my emotional well-being. I was raised by my mother, alongside my grandmother for a short stint before my mother married a lovable man who adopted both my brother and I to make our last name Cooper. He provided above and beyond for us to live a life of privilege.
Christmas of 97’ my grandmother had a mild heart attack and was given TPA causing a bleed to her brain. She had just hit retirement after years of teaching. My mother took it upon herself to take care of her and has since. We've helped to care for her together, just as she had for us in the past.
I am engaged to an amazing woman who is a first year 9th grade English teacher I cannot put in to words how instrumental she has been in crafting my life for the better, so I’ll spare you the hallmark moment.
Like most Americans, I settled for monotony early, it is far too easy with today’s social structure. We give too much power to those that treat others as mere numbers. I was in manufacturing for 8 years thinking I could make some real change to the company. It quickly became evident after trying; this would not be the case. So I packed my shit, took out my 401K and set out to make changes in myself. Though difficult to leave a sustainable life, I follow my intuition to create something greater than myself. I follow great and inspiring minds to figure out what they have done right and what I can do to create success in my own life, not to merely imitate... Learning techniques without inward experiencing can only lead to superficiality. I've always looked down on myself, thinking I was stupid or incapable of learning. That paradigm has been broke through hours of self introspection. Growth is possible for anyone; it’s merely taking the pains and anxieties of getting there rather than to mask or hide from them. My dream is to bring a little more love and laughter to the world, I hope to use the privileges I’ve had in life to help others with their dreams. Para el bien de todos.
