What is the Standard XY Coordinate Plane?
If you are a young child or an adult, you probably have never given much thought to the question of what is the standard XY coordinate plane. You might have noticed, however, that the educational systems you have used to learn about coordinate systems, such as geography, English, and math are all based on this plane. The reason for this is because it is the most familiar and natural way that most people think of coordinates.
There is no doubt that the true plane to use is the Cartesian coordinate system. This is one of the simplest coordinate systems, and was first developed by the French in the 17th century. Before that, however, the Egyptians had already developed their own coordinate systems. Any system that involves more than two axes is called a coordinate system. There are now many coordinate systems, each with its own unique attributes.
However, despite the similarities between many coordinate systems, they are not all the same. They all work on planes that can be viewed from any direction. When it comes to the XY plane, however, we cannot view it from any direction at all - it only offers itself to be viewed from North to South to West and East. All other planes view it from above, as seen from above.
Why does that matter? Simply put, if we were to ever translate any of the coordinate systems into our world right now, we would have a very big problem. For one thing, all of those axes would be upside down. It would be like we are viewing the Earth from orbit.
This might seem like a very big problem when you consider all of the technology that we have today that uses such a plane. But it doesn't have to be. Let me show you how to convert from Cartesian coordinates to XY plane system. What is the XY coordinate system? The coordinates are displayed on a xy coordinate system, where the x axis goes from zero (the bottom left) to infinity (the top right).
We can translate this using Cartesian coordinates, which has a slightly different set of axes for its x axis. The first axis (set to zero) is then equated to the transform vector, where it is used to transform a Cartesian normal map into an XY normal map. This means that if we have a Cartesian normal map, then we can find out what is the normal map by setting the transform vector to the units of the Cartesian normal map. This is how we can then find out what is the normal map.
