Itching to learn more about the world and other parts of Canada, I moved from my hometown of Toronto as a teenager to attend University in Ottawa – Canada’s capital. Having been influenced by Nietzsche and St Augustine’s philosophy on education, I decided to pursue an academic career based purely on the passion to understand more about life and the world that impacts history – so I studied philosophy and political science.

I used my time there exceptionally well. I was accepted into their highly competitive work-study programs, which allowed me to work for about 2 years for the Canadian government and separately, I (and only a handful of students from around the world) was accepted into the international Hansard Scholar program in London, UK - where I interned for an MP and studied at the London School of Economics (LSE).

Wanting to expand my mind further than what my Bachelors could offer, I structured my understanding of politics towards understanding how to conduct quantitative and qualitative research in the social sciences – so I did my Masters (MSc) in Comparative Politics at the LSE.

After graduating I decided to stay in London and work – getting first hand client and stakeholder experience with private equity funds in Europe and successfully completing the company’s biggest project to date with a failed Icelandic bank undergoing wind-down (post-financial crisis).

Feeling the need to travel and explore the world in my youth, I left London for the sunny parts of Nice, France to improve my french. The travelling road surreptitiously brought me back to my hometown of Toronto, where I’ve been able to flex my business acumen and expand my industry/client insights. A recent accomplishment being the full design and launch of an Android & iOS app, Turbo Transit App.

The most important thing for me has been the understanding that if roads are not paved, then only you can pave it, and if you fail, it’s ok, you keep going. If I can’t fail, I can’t learn.
