“The effort which goes into the exercise of the will is really the effort of attention; the strain in willing is the effort to keep the conscious clear, i.e., the strain of keeping the attention focused.” Rollo May, 1969
My name is Corbin Carson, and I am an assiduous person. I am but the analysis of my surroundings, experiences and interactions coupled with a fervent desire to learn, retain and apply anything that has ever been thought of. I live by the idea that universal truths often find expression in universal clichés. For example, a cliché as simple as ‘Just Do It’ becomes akin to a magical incantation for me. I do not understand why everyone does not excel with phrases such as ‘practice makes perfect’ and ‘you can be whatever you want to be’ embedded in our brains since infancy.
With this approach I have learned to succeed at anything I desire to. I have a successful business that I own which operates and grows with almost little assistance from me. I have released two albums, and performed at thousands of shows with national artists. I held the Arizona State Championship Muay-Thai Kick Boxing belt and study Jujitsu just because I thought those are good skills to acquire. I have a beautiful, intelligent and athletic family while simultaneously enjoying loving and meaningful relationships with both my children and my wife. I possess a voluminous vocabulary, coupled with a ruthless sagacity. I am studying for my Masters at The Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism. I bench press 300 pounds, run a 10 second hundred and average 28 points/11 assists/10 rebounds on the basketball court.
This is not said to be grandiloquent. I started this dissertation with a compendium for how I do, whatever I want to do.
My question is; why don’t you?
