I serve as Director of Online Learning for Our Lady of the Lake University, a Catholic, and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in San Antonio, TX

My passion and expertise is online learning, including: course/interface design and development; mobile pedagogy/instructional practice; academic/workforce program development, management, and assessment; institutional accreditation and policy formulation; research and development; and “start-up” venture creation and launch.

My research on text messaging as mobile learning was featured in an interview The Chronicle of Higher Education (http://bit.ly/18ISgUl). I was recently appointed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to its Learning Technology Advisory Committee (LTAC) for a 3-year term.

I’m one of only a few educational leaders to have been a student, teacher and administrator at every level of the U.S. educational system (pre-K-12, community college, and four-year university), in both the public and private sector, and in small and large institutions.
