Corey Ferengul

Mr. Corey Ferengul is an experienced software executive and investor as well as amateur photographer (www.wanderingchicago.com).

He is currently involved in Aperiam, a modern venture capital firm focused on the adtech and martech verticals and in addition to investing offering consulting, start up incubation and technology capabilities.

Additionally he managed his own investment firm, Apace Equities from which he has invested in dozens of software companies.

He serves on several Boards of Directors as well as advisory boards, including dScout, Hyde Park Angels, SmartCommerce, Big Happy, Kinetiq, LivNow and GoGig.

He has been the CEO of Undertone (exited to Perion), Magnetic (exited to Deloitte Digital) and Yello. All three software companies.

Additionally, he was with Rovi Corporation (Formerly Macrovision Solutions) from '06-'12 where he served in several roles such as Executive Vice President of Product Management & Strategy, Executive Vice President of Products and Executive Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. Through his time at Rovi he was responsible for overall strategy and direction for the company as well as developing new products. He held responsibility for areas such as global marketing (where he led the effort to rename the company), business development and product development at different times through his tenure at Rovi. He also served on BOD's for several Rovi joint Ventures, such as GuideWorks a JV with Comcast. Rovi grew from revenues of ~$200M to nearly $700M and took the market cap from just over $1B to over $6B at its peak while he was on the Rovi executive team.

He served as Senior Vice President, director of Enterprise System Management and Analyst at The META Group (acquired by Gartner Group in 2006) where he was an industry recognized software expert, widely published and spoke frequently at industry events. He was twice named Analyst of the year and was responsible for over 40 analysts. In his role as an analyst.
