Corey Canning
Mr. Canning has worked as an environmental health & safety consultant for Mabbett & Associates since 2010. Corey aids in the scope of work, budget, and day - day management of a large scale brownfield redevelopment project in Washington, DC. His primary function is to serve in an advisory role - as a representative for the owner for all things environmental, health and safety on-site. He has been responsible for the segregation and disposal of over 1.2 million cubic yards of contaminated soil requiring and extensive knowledge of environmental and shipping regulations in the surrounding jurisdictions. Corey has experience with operating water treatment systems, risk assessments, large scale pre-characterization programs, and soil & water sampling. He has been involved with project management, business development, and technical guidance of staff.
Before coming to Mabbett, Corey worked as a program administrator for the State of New Hampshire's Department of Environmental Services (NHDES). Corey also worked for Triumvirate Environmental during his college years.
Mr. Canning received his B.S. in Occupational Health and Safety from Keene State College in 2008. He currently enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Maryland; his degree is expected in 2014.
