Corey Fischer

Corey Fischer is an actor, writer, musician and director who has been creating and performing theatre for over forty years. In 1978, with Albert Greenberg and Naomi Newman, he co-founded Traveling Jewish Theatre), with whom he worked full time for thirty four years until its closing in 2012. He has received awards from the San Francisco Chronicle, The L.A. Times, The L.A. Weekly, The Marin Arts Council the NEA, The Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. Outside TJT, Corey has appeared in film, television and theatre in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver, B.C.. Along the way, he worked with the legendary teacher and actor, Jeff Corey, visionary directors Robert Altman and Joseph Chaikin, and was a member of the improvisational group The Committee (L.A. co.).
