Corey comes from a small town just south of Atlanta known as Newnan, Georgia. After graduating from East Coweta High School, Corey went on to attend Georgia Military College where he played two years of NJCAA Division 1 Soccer. He is a first generation college student and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society, where he stood as Regional President of Georgia and Chapter President of the Alpha Omicron Epsilon Chapter.

After graduating from Georgia Military College in 2013 with an AS in Applied Science, Corey went on to attend The University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He is a member of the Society of Entrepreneurs and attends The Terry College of Business in pursuit of a Bachelor's of Business Management. Corey also stands as Regional Coordinator for the South Region of the Pearson Campus Ambassador Program, which he has been a part of since May of 2013. The PCA program allows him to connect with students and aid them through their college experience.

Corey recently began the foundation of his latest venture, MentorBuzz, which is a social platform that allows students to connect with mentors from around the nation.​

In his free time, Corey enjoys running, biking, traveling, and writing.
