... are words that my friends and loved ones have learned to dread. It's possible that I'm convinced there are 28 or so hours in the day. And I'm pretty sure that sleep is optional.

I work in Advancement Services at New Mexico Highlands University - a small school in a rural part of the country, with a high number of first generation students. I also do educational and tourism-related social media consulting.

In the off hours, my husband and I run Dreaming Robot Press, a small publishing house specializing in middle grade and young adult science fiction and fantasy stories.

In the off-off hours, I write. I've written two middle grade fantasy novels and one young adult science fiction novel.

And in the off-off-off hours, we do what we can to help our community's animal welfare coalition, because really, critters make the world go 'round.
