Corinne Stern

Webb County

A medical professional with decades of experience, Dr. Corinne Stern attained her undergraduate degree in medical technology at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in 1991. She later earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Stern completed a residency in pathology and fellowships in surgical pathology and forensic medicine. In 2000, Dr. Stern completed her forensic fellowship with the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.

While studying for her Bachelor's degree, Dr. Corinne Stern worked as a medical laboratory technician at Scott and White Memorial Hospital Clinics. During her years in medical school, Dr. Stern provided tutoring services in histology and held the position of teaching assistant. During the late 1990s, she also worked as a medical technologist and as a grossing room technician.

In 2000, Dr. Stern began her career in forensic pathology and began conducting autopsies in the West Texas area. Dr. Stern served as Chief Medical Examiner of El Paso County.

To supplement her executive medical career, Dr. Corinne Stern maintains involvement in a number of professional organizations. These include the National Association of Medical Examiners, the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Stern has also lent her expertise to the medical community as a member of the Webb County Child Fatality Review Board and as a lecturer for the Texas Institute of Justice.
