Corliss Brown Thompson, Ph.D.

Corliss Brown Thompson, PhD is a teacher at heart. She loves helping people learn the content and skills they need to improve their lives, profession, and the world around them.

Corliss, a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, began her career as an elementary teacher in Charlotte, NC and Chapel Hill, NC. She left the field of elementary education to pursue her current passion: teaching professionals how to conduct applied research.

Currently, Corliss teaches in the doctorate and master's of education programs at the Northeastern University's Graduate School of Education.

As an assistant teaching professor, Corliss' time is dedicated to teaching students and mentoring them through the process of writing their doctoral theses. Corliss is passionate about teaching professionals how to conduct research that can help address everyday issues.

Corliss also works as program evaluation consultant. In this role Corliss designs and conducts program evaluations and also teaches and provides technical assistance to programs looking to conduct internal evaluation.
