I am the founding director of the Faith & Culture Writers Conference, which debuted in 2011 in Portland, Oregon (www.faithandculturewriters.com) . As the mom of five amazing children between the ages of 11 and 24, my writing often turns to my life as a writerMom. I am also a freelance journalist for The Oregonian, Christianity Today and the Huffington Post. In addition, I've been an adjunct instructor, student media faculty advisor, editor and substitute middle and high school teacher.
