Cornell Young

Originally from Lexington, KY., Cornell played high school basketball at Henry Clay High School and attended Junior College at Dodge City Community College, which is located in Dodge City, KS. After playing a year at the University of New Orleans, Cornell transferred to Paul Quinn College, which was located in Waco, TX., before the school moved to Dallas, TX. Cornell received his Bachelor Degree in Physical Education at Paul Quinn. Cornell has over 30 years of experince as a player and coach. He is a TRUE BASKETBALL GYM RAT. He has always been around the game of basketball which has provided him with an opportunity to obtain his college degree. He now finds himself in a place to help young students/athletes to pursue those same dreams. Cornell, believes that now is the time to truly give back.

A successful entrepeneaur and educator, he currently serves as the Founder and CEO of IPBIC, Inc. (I PLAY BECAUSE I CAN), which is a comprehensive training and management program designed to help players of all ages and ability levels to maximize their potential through training, exposure, and mentorship

Cornell Young, has recently aqurried owership of the Heartland Prowl. After a awesome first season in the FBA, The Prowl finished second to the Tampa Bay Rebels. "We are back at work and making some must needed changes to prepare ourselves for the next season and we are looking to do bigger and better things," said new owner and coach Cornell Young.
