Gene Paliescheskey, president and founder of Capricorn Consulting Svc. Corp. initially launched his company in 2001 from North Wales, Pennsylvania and relocating it to Humboldt County, California in 2011 and building said company with hard work, responsibility and integrity as the founding principles. Gene obtains many jobs through the companys reputation. Gene has built strong relationships with clients which he considers more important then pricing. "That sets us apart," he says. Many projects Gene takes on involve the area locals of the nothern califonia coast line from Fort Bragg to McKinleyville. Part of this is due to Gene's reputation to provide error-free work with record drawing, one-year warranty and no charge 90 day deferral payment on full invoices.

The company has seen many contracts awarded to companies bidding at a lower price, Gene believes that maintaining quality of work is more important than low balling estimates and cutting corners on work to meet the lower price, this is where the integrity and loyalty come in to play, that simple ! Throughout it's history, Gene has adapted to various market changes. However, according to Gene, the past few years have been particularly challenging for the business. "Adapting has been an ongoing challenge," He says. "It's been tough, but if it was easy everybody would do it."

Gene adjust his business through reducing debt, trimming overhead cost, adding services and reducing staff. The team of 16 employees use to be 23 prior to the economic slowdown. This technique has proven effective for Gene's bottom line. "We're better today than we've ever been," says Gene. We're seeing the results."
