Corrine Crothers

Hi there! My name is Corrine Crothers and I am one of those "Ex Corporate Execs" that has made the switch to Entrepreneur - so I'd like to share my story with you.

Not that I ever planned to do so - but I had the priviledge to work for the same corporation for 23 years - spending time in Chicago, Atlanta and finally back home to California. I worked with some terrific people during the years but of course when two major corporations merge together times start to change......

I found myself out of work - along with my husband - right in the middle of the recession in 2010. Not what I was expecing to happen before turning 50 - living on unemployment and owning a house that was worth less than what we paid - ah yes those were the days!!

After moving to Portland in 2011 and starting another Corporate job in a similar industry I started getting restless and realized that life was too short to be miserable! I had my health, my family, a great marriage and home and yet I wasn't entirely happy. That's when I discovered "The 4 Year Career" - a great book about Direct Sales and all that it has to offer. I found the perfect opportunity to start my own business, leveraging a global brand and all the resources of a multi-million dollar corporation.

Having my own business gives me the security of financial freedom - I'm no longer at the mercy of a Corporation for a paycheck! I control my schedule and work around my life rather than live my life around my work - and I have a team that supports one another and shares our successes.
