Cort Olsen

Senior at VCU majoring in journalism print with a minor in technical writing. I will be graduating in the Summer of 2015 and plan to write for social-political publication such as VICE or The Atlantic. I began as a writer for VCU’s three time, award winning arts and culture magazine INK in Fall 2012 and worked my way up to becoming the editor in chief for the past four issues from Spring 2014 to Spring 2015. I have contributed to VCU’s award winning college newspaper The Commonwealth Times as well as The Petersburg Progress-Index, CBS 6, Freelance Star and RVA News to name a few. I have written extensive stories ranging from government news to music and art which has given me broad experience over many forms of journalism.
