Zirconia is a ceramic oxide which is formed from a chemical reaction between zirconium metal and oxygen. It is important to note that there can be significant differences between zirconia-based dental restorations. Zirconium crown use the strongest porcelain available today as a substructure. Zirconia crowns are extraordinary strong and can withstand most chewing and biting activities. They are very resistible to high temperatures and, as a rule, don’t cause teeth hypersensitivity.
