Cory Mlady

After spending three years living and working in Japan, I came back to the states and began my career. Living in a country and not initially being able to speak the language forced me to strengthen my communication skills. Naturally inquisitive with an interest in learning from others, I found my way into Talent Acquisition.

Starting on the corporate side, I gained the knowledge needed to navigate in a large corporate environment. In 2011, I took a leap of faith and left the corporate recruiting world behind to join the band of free spirits known as Boly:Welch. After two years as a recruiter in the Office division, I joined the HR side in 2013, eager to take on new challenges and prove that B:W is a leader in the Portland area in providing HR support (recruitment and consultation).

Outside of work you can find me supporting one of the local professional sports teams (Blazers, Timbers, Winterhawks, you name it), singing at one of Portland’s fine Karaoke establishments (Chopsticks!) or, most frequently and most importantly, doing whatever my lovely wife asks of me. Fortunately, working for a company owned by two high-energy and dynamic businesswomen has prepared me well for the task of taking direction from my wife and, more recently, baby girl!
