My name is Cory Compton. I’m from Cheboygan, Michigan, and I’m a Political Science major at Grand Valley State University.

I’m a major advocate for youth involvement in politics. A strong conservative and Christian, I believe in the right to bear arms, the freedom of speech, the US Constitution, civil liberties, free and open markets, and as limited government intervention in the lives of citizens as possible.

I believe that youth involvement in politics is the key to success for conservatives. In my hometown of Cheboygan, I co-founded a Teenage Republicans chapter (among the first in Michigan), and during my first years of college I founded a College Republicans chapter at North Central Michigan College. I’m the author of the book Our Generation: How America’s culture has been fundamentally altered forever, and I interned for the Leadership Institute – an organization that trains conservatives to be effective in politics.

But politics isn’t my only interest. Being from beautiful Northern Michigan, I love recreational activities such as snowmobiling, swimming, boating, fishing, and hunting. Football is my favorite sport (Go Blue!), dogs are way better than cats, and Chick-fil-A did nothing wrong.
